Mountain hiking trips
Discover the valleys, mountain pastures, peaks and glades of the Tatras. For fans of hiking we have prepared several recommendations for trips in the Tatras, both for amateurs who love to climb mountain peaks and for experienced tourists with the right equipment.
Morskie Oko - the red trail, an asphalt road leading straight to Morskie Oko lake from Palenica Białczańska is one of the better routes for families with small children.
Chochołowska Valley - A pleasant, easy trail through the immense Chochołowska Valley. It is a frequent destination for tourist trips. The trail can be explored by bike or on a trackless train.
To Kościelec from Hala Gąsienicowa through Czarna Dolina Gąsienicowa - a route for well-prepared hikers. The trail is very attractive. Despite the high level of difficulty (elements of climbing ), no additional safety measures (such as stairs or footbridges) are provided.
To Świnica Mountain from Kasprowy Wierch Mountain - The trail can be described as the shortest of all leading to Świnica, of course if we omit the question of climbing Kasprowy Wierch itself, which can also be reached by a cable car.
To Rysy Mountain from Štrbské Pleso - The trail to Rysy from the Slovak side of the Tatras enjoys great popularity among tourists. This is not only due to the beautiful views, but above all to the fact that it is easier than the trail on the Polish side. You can reach Štrbské Pleso by the Tatra Electric Railway (e.g. from Poprad, Tatranská Lomnica or Smokovec), by bus or by car.
We encourage all those going hiking in the Tatras to use the services of mountain guides, with whom you can not only climb the peaks of the Polish and Slovakian Tatra Mountains, but also learn about the local legends and the curiosities of the Tatra region.
Cycling tourism / Monsterrollers on Kotelnica
During your stay in Białka Tatrzańska, you can relax in an active way by going on cycling trips. Along the Białka River, on the section of 6 km, there is a bike trail with a low degree of difficulty, which is perfect for family trips. And for experienced cyclists, we present trails with different levels of difficulty:
The trail around the Tatra Mountains - A bicycle trail around the Tatra Mountains is one of the five best cycling routes in Poland! The trail is divided into various levels of difficulty, so every enthusiast of bicycle trips will find something for themselves.
Tour De Pologne Mountain Trail - for seasoned cyclists, we recommend the mountain section of the Tour De Pologne race, known as the royal section, where the mountain climbs in Gliczarów and Sierockie are only intended for well-prepared cyclists.
An unusual attraction that will surely intrigue all mountain bikers is the Monsterroller. A ride on this unique off-road scooter is offered by rhSPORT. You can try your hand at it on the slopes of Kotelnica Białczańska. All you need is to be brave, have nerves of steel, and simply want to have a good time.
Quad trips
Quads and Off-road
Those who like to go a bit faster will be able to take advantage of a rich offer of rentals, sports equipment services and the sports centre located in Białka Tatrzańska. During the expeditions, you can have a try at riding a quad on the route around the surrounding hills, from which you can admire beautiful mountain views.
Sporting and cultural events
Festyn Białcańki (Białka Festival) - takes place in the first week of August at the foot of Kotelnica Białczańska. It is a part of the Tatrzańskie Wici festival. This outdoor event provides a great opportunity to get to know highlander culture, and at the same time offers amazing entertainment. Every year, the organisers surprise participants with new attractions. These include concerts of Polish music stars. An important point of the event is Ceper and Ceperka of the Year contest (in the Podhale subdialect, a tourist visiting the region), as well as Harnaś of the Year contest (in the Podhale subdialect, the leader of a highwayman band).
Hunt Run - the first sports and music festival in Poland, during which we bring together active people who have a passion for life. During one weekend you will have the opportunity to face #thewildest obstacle course (which is famous for its strongly off-road character) and charge some positive energy during the evening events.
Kultura na Bani (Culture at Bania) - is a series of events that take place in the Bania complex during the holidays. Concerts of music stars (e.g. LemON, Majka Jeżowska, Patrycja Markowska), performances by regional folk bands, cabarets, Kino na Stoku (Cinema on the Mountainside), highlanders' feasts... Are you going on holiday to Podhale? Kultura na Bani is a must-see - check out what we have prepared for the time of your stay!
Cross Monster Polish Championship - every year in Białka Tatrzańska, there is a monsterroller championship, involving riding downhill on mountain off-road scooters.
